Laparoscopic (Keyhole) Spays

A Modern, Minimally Invasive Option for Your Dog

We’re excited to offer Laparoscopic Spays, also known as keyhole surgery, to both our regular clients and referral cases. This advanced surgical technique offers a faster, less invasive alternative to traditional spaying—helping your dog recover more quickly and comfortably.

Why Choose a Laparoscopic Spay?

  • Faster Recovery: Most dogs are back to normal off-lead exercise within 48 hours, compared to up to 2 weeks with traditional spays.

  • Less Intrusive: Surgery is performed through two tiny incisions (just 0.5–1cm), with only the ovaries removed—not the uterus—resulting in less internal trauma.

  • Lower Risk of Complications: Smaller wounds mean less post-op discomfort, reduced risk of infection, and a more comfortable healing process.
