Home » Digital X-Ray
Our fully equipped imaging room features digital X-ray and ultrasound technology, allowing us to diagnose a wide range of conditions quickly and accurately—right here at the clinic.
X-rays help us examine the internal structure of your pet’s body and are especially useful for detecting:
Fractures and bone injuries
Arthritis and joint problems
Swallowed foreign objects
Heart enlargement and lung changes
Because we use digital imaging, results are faster, clearer, and easier to share or refer when needed.
Ultrasound allows us to view soft tissue structures in real time—things that often don’t show up clearly on X-rays. It’s ideal for evaluating:
Abdominal organs (like liver, kidneys, bladder)
Heart function (echocardiograms)
Pregnancy monitoring
Fluid buildup or internal bleeding
Having these tools in-house means faster answers and faster care. Whether it’s part of a routine investigation or an emergency case, we can get to the root of the problem without delay.

surgical skills and manage a high-volume caseload while completing a postgraduate
certificate in Small Animal Surgery. Having settled in the local area, Nick founded
Sutherland Vets to combine surgical expertise with compassionate and personal veterinary
care for the local community.’
